Sedation Dentistry

Who is Sedation Dentistry For?

Sedation dentistry helps patients feel calm, relaxed, and comfortable during dental treatment. It is an excellent option for patients with dental anxiety, sensitive gag reflexes, difficulty sitting for long procedures, or those undergoing more complex treatments.

Our dental team will review your medical history and comfort level to recommend the safest and most appropriate sedation option for your needs.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide is a mild form of sedation inhaled through a small mask during treatment. It helps patients feel relaxed while remaining fully awake and responsive.

Benefits:

  • Wears off quickly after treatment
  • Safe for both adults and children
  • Ideal for mild anxiety or routine procedures

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation involves taking medication before your appointment to promote deeper relaxation. Patients often feel drowsy but remain conscious throughout treatment.

Benefits:

  • Reduces moderate dental anxiety
  • Helps patients feel calm and less aware of time
  • Simple and effective sedation option
  • Ideal for longer appointments

Intravenous (IV) Sedation

IV sedation is administered directly into the bloodstream, allowing for deeper and more controlled sedation. Patients are very relaxed and may remember little of the procedure.

Benefits:

  • Fast-acting and highly effective
  • Adjustable throughout treatment
  • Ideal for complex or lengthy procedures
  • Excellent option for severe dental anxiety

Safety & Monitoring

All sedation options are carefully administered and monitored by trained our professionals. We review your medical history and explain every step so you feel confident and informed.
